At Highline Painting Pros, we offer staining services designed to enhance your property, working in accordance with your budget. Staining wooden surfaces is a delicate and tedious process from start to finish. First and most important, the area being stained must be properly prepared by highly experienced staff. The process starts by vacuuming all areas that are to be stained. The next step is to fill all imperfections and holes etc. with a top-quality wood filler.
After allowing the wood filler to properly dry we go that extra step often overlooked which would be complete sanding of the entire area being stained, paying close attention to the areas with wood filler and any repairs. We won’t miss a spot! The sanding process removes all dirt and contamination on the wood. Dirt and contamination will leave unwanted stains and bleed through when the stain is applied and will result in a poor-quality job. We take every step to avoid this outcome. Upon completion of sanding, we use a powerful vacuum and vacuum the entire area perfectly in order to move to the next step.
The stain is selected to the desired color and transparency first. We will be happy to help you choose the right color and product so no worries. Upon making a choice we purchase the stain for you and apply the product to a clean, well-prepped surface. Allowing a good amount of drying time ensures a good penetration of the stain into the wood which is important when staining wood surfaces.
We finish the project by applying at least 2 coats of clear coat to the well-prepped, dried stained areas and sanding between coats. The clear coat protects the newly stained areas and is sure to last. The project will shine like glass and is sure to last a lifetime. - I first saw Jack’s work at my sister’s home where he had painted many of their rooms including their kitchen and kitchen cupboards- I was impressed by his skilled hand to paint the cupboards so well that we hired him for our job. We had a bedroom that smelled very strong because the previous owners burned incense there. Jack used a special primer and then painted the room, and the smell was gone. We hired him again to do our entire basement and he went above and beyond for us to get the accent wall just right.
